Overview

The Emerging Contaminants (EC) and PFAS Funding Program, supported by the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (IIJA), provides forgivable loans (DWSRF EC) and grants (EC-SDC) to public water systems to address PFAS and other EPA-listed emerging contaminants in drinking water. DACs and small systems may receive 100% funding with no cap, while larger non-DAC systems may receive up to 50% forgiveness capped at $25,000,000.00. Eligible projects include treatment facility construction, new source development, consolidation, new community water systems, and planning activities.
