Joint Fire Science Program - Accelerating science to action in fire-prone ecosystems with changing fire regimes

The Joint Fire Science Program (JFSP) seeks proposals for FY2026 focused on wildland fire science research. Total funding is estimated between $1.5M and $4M, with individual awards averaging $300K–$500K. Eligible applicants include state, local, tribal, federal, academic, and nonprofit organizations.
