Overview
The USDA Forest Service Temporary Bridge Funding Program provides up to $8 million annually to support state and tribal rental programs for temporary skidder bridges, bridge mats, and other water crossing structures that minimize streambed disturbance. Applications are accepted three times per year (April, August, and December) until 2026, with a maximum award of $500,000 per application (higher requests require prior approval).
