Community Wildfire Defense Grant (CWDG) for Indian tribes

The Community Wildfire Defense Grant (CWDG) provides funding for wildfire risk reduction projects and Community Wildfire Protection Plans (CWPPs). The last application cycle closed on October 31, 2023, and the next round is expected to open in July 2024 with a deadline in October 2024. A 10% cost share is required but may be waived for disadvantaged communities.
