Community Wildfire Defense Grant Program

The CWDG Program provides financial assistance to develop or revise Community Wildfire Protection Plans (CWPPs) and to implement projects outlined in CWPPs less than ten years old. The current application period is open until February 28, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. Applicants are encouraged to consult with state or Forest Service regional cooperative fire contacts when developing proposals.
